Often noted to be a chameleon soprano, she slips discreetly between the seductive soubrette and luminous firebrand. An actor at heart she would have it no other way. Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, she initially earned a bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Dalhousie University before moving into a double major in Music and Theatre. Elizabeth completed her studies in acting at Ryerson University in Toronto. She has never left her Maritime roots behind and her humour is often laced with a salty flare. Her travels have taken her all over North America but she is pleased to make Toronto home, with her husband Derek Bate who works as a conductor/music director and her daughter Ashley, aged 9.
